Hey! Welcome to jpjones.co.uk.
Just to clear things up from the start, this is not the homepage of a certain bass guitarist from Led Zepplin, nor a site dedicated to the "Father of the American Navy".
Instead this is my own personal space which I’ll use to put note my own thoughts on whatever comes to mind.
A few facts about me:
- I was born and raised in West Yorkshire, spending most of my years before Internet in Clayton West, a small village set in the countryside near Denby Dale, which is world famous for baking monster Meat & Potato Pies.
- I went to the University of York, where I attained a BSc in Computer Science.
- I’m now a resident of East London, calling the Excel Centre and The O2 my neighbours.
- I’m a tech / geek at heart, and early adopter, and love to tinker with anything with a circuit board.
- Most of my time is currently focused on working as the Technical Director of CardSmart, a UK-Focused Credit Card Comparison website, which launched early 2009.

- I play the Trombone (occasionally), and need to find a jazz band / big band / swing band in London to join within the next year or so.
- I’m a LAMP addict, but am trying to find the time to spread the net wider and learn how to code for the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry
